What if I told you that there was a medication that could help you live longer, improve your mood, reduce your risk of certain cancers, Type 2 diabetes and heart disease, strengthen your bones, help you maintain a healthy weight, relieve arthritis pain, and distance yourself from infectious diseases like COVID-19? Physical activity outdoors is free and comes with virtually no side effects!

WE CARE ABOUT YOUR FUTURE

Saratoga PLAN has longevity in mind, not only for wildlife habitats and natural resources, but also for your health, the health of your children, and your grandchildren. Our 10 public preserves with 22+ miles of trails offer endless opportunity for recreation, education, and exploration, are free and open to the public, and are permanent community assets.

A recent note from avid trail user Frank Berlin reads, “What a wonderful walk we had at the Woodcock Preserve. There were four of us, one a grandchild. The field was mowed for the Woodcock to do their tumble doodling and for the milkweed to come up for the monarchs when they return. We started our trip around 2:30 and didn’t return until 6:00 PM.”

JOIN THE COMMUNITY

Consider joining your community in donating to Saratoga PLAN’s Annual Fund so that we may continue moving forward, knowing that the lands we’ve protected together are helping to see us through these trying days.

This year alone, Saratoga PLAN is working on:

  • Opening over 5 miles of new public trails
  • Scouting and designing 20+ miles of trails for the Sarah B. Foulke Friendship Trail System in the Palmertown Range
  • Conserving 260 acres of land protection for trails and recreation
  • Protecting 820 acres of fertile farmland on 10 farms in Saratoga County

THANK YOU

We know that times have changed economically for some, but if you are able to continue supporting PLAN, please do. We can’t emphasize enough how critical your private donations are at this time.

If you are in the fortunate position of being able to make up for those who cannot give at this time, that would be most appreciated. The need is greater than ever, given the change in circumstances. PLAN’s perpetual commitment to conservation and the health and wellbeing of you and your descendants means we need to continue operating. Your gift to the 2020 Annual Fund ensures the trails will stay open and our community will stay healthy.

With deep appreciation,

Maria Trabka
