policy action

Saratoga PLAN advocates for good public land use policy, incentives for conservation, and for funding for land conservation.

In general, it does not fight development or take a stand on land use for a specific site or development project. Saratoga PLAN has found it to be more effective to work at larger scale, advocating for good planning at the town, county, state and national levels… and then working with communities to follow and fund their plans.

From time to time, there are opportunities for citizens to weigh in on public policy matters related to conservation. If you’d like to receive notices of such opportunities to have your voice be heard, please sign up.
