Brrr!!! As Saratoga County residents, we’re used to the cold...

… but this winter is proving to be a challenge even for the heartiest North Country veterans! For those of you who have been stuck inside, getting out on the trails for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or even walking your dog is a great way to beat those winter blues. There’s always something new happening, and we’d love to see what’s going on in your neck of the woods! Whether you’re venturing out onto your favorite wintery trails or enjoying nature from the warmth of your home, Saratoga PLAN is curious about your perspective of the season, and we’re inviting you to share your photos with us on our “Submit a Photo” page. For all you Instagramers out there, hashtaging your favorite nature shots with #saratogaPLAN is another great way to have your favorite photos shared with all our nature enthusiast friends; and if you haven’t followed us on instagram yet, be sure to do so soon!

We know PLAN members are a curious bunch, so we’ll periodically have guest experts on board who can identify plants, animals and insects from your photos. We’re excited to use these pages as both an experiential and educational opportunity for the PLAN community.

Whether you share mobile photos via Instagram or upload to the virtual photo collection on our website, both are great ways to connect with the PLAN community, document your explorations, sightings, and seasonal changes, and be involved in the conservation of our beautiful region.

Happy snapping!
