A WALK THROUGH THE COLDBROOK PRESERVE

Submitted by Ray O’Conor

“All of the Saratoga PLAN preserves are distinctive, but it occurred to me as my wife and I headed out to the Coldbrook Preserve today, that it is particularly unique. I know of no other place where one walks into a lush forest while flanked by beautiful horses and towering corn stalks.”

KAYAKING ON THE ANTHONY KILL

Submitted by Mary Rosenstein

“Why do we visit PLAN preserves? We visit to see birds and wildlife, to enjoy the scenery, to contemplate nature, and to get exercise in beautiful and serene places.

My husband and I kayaked yesterday on the Anthony Kill near the Round Lake Preserve. The water lilies were spectacular. [This picture was] taken by my husband, Noah, on his cell phone. We have been to a number of the Saratoga PLAN preserves and the Round Lake one is one of our favorites. Thanks to all the volunteers and staff of Saratoga PLAN for all the work they do for land preserves.”

FLASHBACK TO A PHOTO CLASS

Submitted by Mike Bielkiewicz

“I took a photo walk / class on the trail in Galway and enjoy [this image] that I’d not have had I not been introduced to the trail and suggestions about perspective.”
