Have you fully explored the many trails throughout Saratoga County? How about just the ones nearby your own home? Chances are, there are trail resources close at hand just waiting to be discovered!

Saratoga County is rich in many ways, including an abundance of trails for all users. This Saturday, celebrate all that our beautiful county has to offer by grabbing family and friends and heading out to your favorite trail, or to one you’ve been eager to explore.

Let’s not forget our blue trails! A great way to celebrate National Trails Day is to grab a kayak or canoe and go for a paddle down one of the many lakes and creeks throughout the county. If you’re looking to get your hands dirty, you can also join in for some invasive species work on Lake Lonely. This Saturday, volunteers will be meeting up from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Lake Lonely Boat Livery off Crescent Avenue, in Saratoga Springs. From there we will be heading into the lake and pulling up the invasive water chestnut that threatens the local ecology of the area. For more information or to RSVP, please contact Devin at devin@dev.saratogaplan.org.s124525.gridserver.com.

No matter how you choose to celebrate, any day outside exploring all that Saratoga County has to offer is a good one.

See you on the trails!
