intern

At Saratoga PLAN, interns don’t take coffee or lunch orders. Instead, they work side by side with staff on meaningful conservation projects. Student internships offer a structured work experience to explore conservation career aspirations, and to gain valuable skills that can parlay into future employment.

Saratoga PLAN has been fortunate to have had exceptional and enthusiastic interns. Their energy, talents and fresh perspective help us tackle the challenges of conserving our natural resources, farms, and special places through education, community planning, direct land protection, and stewardship.

“I had a great experience working with great people. I learned a lot and would recommend interning or working with Saratoga PLAN to anyone interested in environmental or agricultural land conservation.”

Daniel Dunn
Community Planning and Land Protection Intern

“It’s a very small office working behind the scenes of this organization with such a large mission, and despite being short-staffed, they work incessantly for their local communities and environment. After seeing all that they do, I am happy to be able to help in any way that I can.”

Greg Redling
GIS Intern (and former Stewardship Coordinator)

“I am honored to have been a part of Saratoga PLAN’s small but powerful team. Working with PLAN has contributed immensely to my sense of place in the Adirondack foothills that make up Saratoga County—a truly special place.”

Olivia McKee
Community Outreach Intern

“The amount that I have learned during my internship far exceeds the amount of skills and knowledge that I came into it with. Without the opportunity to work with PLAN, I wouldn’t have been considered for the position that I currently hold, and for that I am forever grateful. Thank you PLAN!”
