Good things continue to occur - the County Supervisors and City Council in Saratoga Springs are both considering resolutions to move along two projects: the potential transfer of county lands under the Spruce Mt Fire Tower to DEC so we can gain legal access to the tower, and the adjustment of the budget for the Spring Run Trail in the City of SS for federal stimulus funds.

An Open Space Plan is up for adoption in one town, another has appointed a Park and Rec. Committee and two towns are working to update open space and comprehensive plans.

And - the Route 50 study to look for ways to connect the Geyser Road residential areas to the Spa Park and Railroad Run is underway.  17-18% of the city lives in that area and has no alternative transportation routes.  The County's rebuilding of the railroad bridge over will occur this year and includes a pedestrian/bike path!  

And more along the Champlain Canalway - Halfmoon has new grants, Saratoga PLAN's Fish Creek Trail progressing and in Waterford a new Canal and Trail group!   And PLAN and the County are working on the Mechanicville connection of the Zim Smith!
