Accomplishments

Land Trust

  • Preserved 3,385 acres of land throughout Saratoga County.
  • Led planning and development of The Spring Run Trail, Railroad Run, The Bog Meadow Trail, and the county-wide Zim Smith Trail.
  • Preserved 885 acres of public nature preserves.
  • Protected important shoreline areas:
    •     34 acres along Ballston Creek.
    •      41 acres along Fish Creek.
    •      20 acres along Kayderosseras Creek.
    •    303 acres on Lake Lonely.
    •      92 acres on Round Lake.
    •    158 acres on Saratoga Lake.
  • Preserved 539 acres of agricultural land in Saratoga County.

 

 

Community Partner

  • Host workshops and seminars featuring nationally recognized leaders in community planning, including Randall Arendt and Anton Nelesson.
  • Publish the Kayaderosseras Creek Canoe Trail Guide, encouraging recreational use and protection of waterway.
  • Partnering with the Town of Halfmoon to protect the Reilly Ridge Farm.
  • Leading smart growth renaissance of the Schuylerville area through leadership of government coalition to revitalize downtown and the Hudson River waterfront, and create parks and trail networks.
